# Partnerships Jargon Buster
## Here you’ll find clear explanations of the key phrases and terms we use as part of the Checkmyfile partnerships team, so you always know exactly what’s being discussed in our emails and conversations.
**Partner:** An individual or company that promotes products or services on behalf of a business, earning a commission for each sale or lead generated through their marketing efforts
**Tracking Link:** A unique URL provided to an affiliate, containing a tracking code that identifies traffic and sales.
**Commission: **The payment for generating a sale, lead, or other desired action for the advertiser.
**Conversion:** The completion of a sign up from a referral.
**Clicks:** The action of a user pressing the link, often tracked to measure engagement and effectiveness of marketing campaigns.
**Revenue:** The total amount of money generated from conversions.
**Conversion Rate (CVR):** The percentage of visitors who complete a desired action (e.g., making a purchase) out of the total number of visitors.
**Reactivation:** When a customer has already used Checkmyfile before, they are no longer eligible for the free trial. This is when they make payment to regain access to their report.
**SubID:** An addition to the original tracking link that allows you to personalise it as many times as you like, for individual team members, for example.
**Same-Day Cancellation:** This is when customers cancel on the same day they sign up.
**First Payment Percentage:** This is when customers stay on beyond the trial and make the first subscription payment.
